This platform is intended for adults aged 19 and over residing in Canada. Please confirm your age to continue.
These guidelines exist to protect the warmth, safety, and joy that make our community special. Please take a few minutes to read them — they matter to every person here.
The Friday Morning Gaming community is something we're genuinely proud of. It's warm, cheerful, and welcoming in a way that feels rare on the internet. That atmosphere doesn't happen by accident — it's the result of a community that genuinely cares about how it treats its members, supported by a team that takes its responsibilities seriously.
These guidelines are not a long list of restrictions. They're a description of the community we've built together and a commitment to maintaining it. When you participate in the Friday Morning Gaming community, you're agreeing to uphold these standards — not because we're forcing you to, but because you understand that they protect something worth protecting.
Every person in this community deserves to feel safe, respected, and genuinely welcome. These guidelines are how we make that promise real. Please read them carefully and, if you ever have a question about their interpretation, reach out to our moderation team directly.
These guidelines apply to all community spaces on the Friday Morning Gaming platform, including forums, comment sections, the community hub, direct messaging features, and any other interactive areas of the site.
This is the foundation of everything. Every member of the Friday Morning Gaming community is a real person deserving of basic human dignity. Engage with others as you'd want to be engaged with — with patience, civility, and genuine goodwill. This applies to players you agree with and players you don't agree with. It applies in text, in tone, and in the spirit of every interaction.
Disrespectful behaviour including personal insults, condescension, or dismissiveness will be addressed by the moderation team. Repeated disrespect, especially when directed at the same individual, will result in removal from community spaces.
Harassment of any kind is completely unacceptable on this platform. This includes targeted negative comments, sustained unwanted contact, intimidation, or any behaviour designed to make another person feel unwelcome or unsafe. Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic will result in immediate removal from the community and potentially the platform.
Slurs, derogatory terms, and language designed to demean or dehumanize any person or group are strictly prohibited. There are no exceptions to this rule, regardless of context or intent.
Friday Morning Gaming is designed to be a pleasant, bright, family-friendly space (for adults, but of all sensibilities). Content shared in community spaces should reflect this. Explicit sexual content, graphic violence, disturbing imagery, or other material that would be inappropriate in a general public setting is not permitted.
This also applies to the tone and content of discussions. Heated political debates, graphic descriptions of real-world harm, and other content that disrupts the cheerful atmosphere of the community should be kept off the platform. There are many excellent places for those conversations — Friday Morning Gaming isn't one of them, and that's by design.
Community spaces are for genuine interaction between players, not for marketing or promotion. Posting repetitive content, unsolicited links, or promotional material for external products, services, or platforms is not allowed. This includes subtle forms of promotion such as repeatedly mentioning external products in an organic-seeming way.
Automated posting, bulk messaging, or the use of scripts or bots to interact with community features is strictly prohibited. Accounts found to be engaged in this behaviour will be removed immediately.
Do not share personal information about other users without their explicit consent. This includes real names, locations, contact information, or any other details that could identify someone in the real world. This protection extends to yourself as well — we strongly encourage all users to be thoughtful about what personal information they share in public community spaces.
Attempting to identify, expose, or "dox" another community member — whether successfully or not — is one of the most serious violations of these guidelines and will result in immediate and permanent removal from the platform.
Do not attempt to exploit technical vulnerabilities, use cheats, or employ any unfair method to gain an advantage in our games. Such behaviour undermines the integrity of the experience for everyone. If you discover a technical issue or vulnerability, please report it to our team via hello@fridaymorninggaming.com rather than exploiting it.
Creating multiple accounts to circumvent community actions (such as a warning or removal from a space) is also a violation of these guidelines.
New players are the future of our community, and how we treat them when they first arrive shapes whether they stay and whether they thrive. We ask all community members — especially veterans — to extend particular patience and encouragement to new arrivals. Welcome them warmly. Answer their basic questions without condescension. Remember that you were new once too.
The practice of "gatekeeping" — discouraging or dismissing players who don't meet some arbitrary standard of expertise or dedication — has no place in our community. All skill levels are equally welcome here.
Our moderation team reviews all community spaces regularly and responds to all reports submitted by community members. We take a thoughtful, context-sensitive approach to moderation — we consider the full picture before taking action, and we aim to be fair in every decision we make.
For most first-time violations, we begin with a private warning that explains what guideline was violated and why the behaviour is problematic. We believe most community members act in good faith and that a clear, kind explanation is often enough to resolve an issue. However, the severity of the violation affects this approach — serious violations such as harassment, discrimination, or privacy breaches may bypass the warning stage entirely.
Repeated violations or escalating behaviour will result in temporary suspension from community features, followed by permanent removal if the behaviour continues. Certain severe violations result in immediate and permanent removal from the community and potentially the entire platform.
If you witness a violation of these guidelines, please use the report function available on all community posts and messages. Alternatively, you can contact our moderation team directly at hello@fridaymorninggaming.com. All reports are reviewed seriously and handled confidentially. Reporting in good faith is always the right thing to do — it protects the community you care about.
Submitting false or malicious reports designed to harm another user's standing in the community is itself a violation of these guidelines and will be treated accordingly.
If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you are welcome to appeal by contacting us at hello@fridaymorninggaming.com. Please include the relevant details and your reasoning. Appeals are reviewed by a senior member of the moderation team who was not involved in the original decision. We take appeals seriously and will reverse decisions when we find they were made in error.
By following these guidelines, you help make Friday Morning Gaming one of the friendliest corners of the Canadian internet. We genuinely appreciate every player who contributes to the positive atmosphere here. See you in the community!
